Boots was surrendered to us in October by a breeder because he was "bunny hopping” when attempting to run/walk. We quickly got Boots his first set of X-rays, and the results showed that his patellas (knee caps) were not developing properly. Additional x-rays were conducted a few weeks later, and those results unfortunately showed other signs of deformity.
Fast forward nearly five months and Boots has received two more sets of X-rays, a CT scan, and has had consultations with a Radiologist, Orthopedic Surgeon, and Neurologist. Through all of this, we have learned that Boots is one adorable genetic mess.
Parts of his spine are missing and other parts are fused together causing Boots mobility issues. Surgery is not an option, so Boots was given a beautiful set of Walkin' Wheels, generously donated by Gunnar's Wheels, to help him live life to fullest! We can't thank them enough!
Boots has not only found the perfect wheelchair, he has found his perfect forever family, too (his foster family)! We're not sure what his future holds, but we do know that he would not be here today if it weren't for the generous donations of our DRR community! Thank you for your support now and always!
