It’s that time of year when pet lovers have a great time voting for their favorite pets in the 2018 Walkin’ Pets Calendar Contest! There are 238 beloved pets using Walkin’ Wheels and enjoying life to choose from. Voting takes place during the month of August on the Walkin’ Pets Facebook page.
Pet fans, friends, and family can vote for their favorite pets by:
(e.g., If you “like” a photo, and “share” it, that pet will get 3 votes from you.)
People may vote for as many pets as they would like — which is a very good thing, since there are so many great pets to choose from! The voting period closes at 5PM EST on August 31, 2017.
The truth of the matter is, ALL of the pets in this calendar contest are winners. Every pet using a Walkin’ Wheels wheelchair is showing the world what is possible with a little help!
The pets with the greatest number of votes at the end of August will be contacted by email in September 2017 (one winner for each month, plus the cover = 13 in total). They will also be announced on the Walkin’ Pets by HandicappedPets.com website and social media platforms.
Every effort will be made to include as many pets as possible in the 2018 Walkin’ Pets Calendar, in addition to the 13 top winners.
These calendar contest pets are from all over the world! They live in 31 countries, from the United States to New Zealand and everything in between. Within the United States, the pets come from 40 states.
The pets range in age from a few months to 19 years old! Each pet in the contest shows where s/he is from and her/his age under the photo.
These pets demonstrate the growing global awareness that mobility challenges need not mean that life needs to end. A little assistance can help a pet live a high-quality life. Just look at the photos of the pets in this contest!
The calendar contestants include one goat, one lamb, and a whole lot of dogs — representing more than 68 breeds. Help celebrate their lives by voting for them and showing your support!
These pets show what IS possible. And hats off to their caretakers, who go the extra mile for them!
