Walkin’ Pets by HandicappedPets.com is honoring pet owners with an original song written just for them! Mikayla Feehan, the company’s social media coordinator, was inspired to write the song PURPOSE as she monitored all the activity on Facebook for the Walkin’ Pets annual Calendar Contest. The PURPOSE music video was launched in tandem with the announcement of the calendar contest winners.
Purpose is found in giving and receiving love. Pet owners know that so well!
The 2019 Walkin’ Pets Calendar Contest attracted entries from all over the world. The 240 contestants, all using Walkin’ Wheels wheelchairs, came from 26 countries and 37 U.S. cities!
Top winners (13) are from eight countries: Thailand, Brazil, Germany, England, United States, Mexico, Italy, and Wales. Dogs certainly are on a roll around the globe, showing everyone what is possible with a little help, and of course, the love and devotion of their owners.
The contestant with the most votes — by far — was Coke, a six-year-old mixed breed dog from Thailand. Coke has quite a fan base! He came out on top two times in the past as well!
Each of the 13 pets who received the most Facebook votes will be specially featured in the 2019 calendar. But ALL calendar entries will show up somewhere in the calendar.
Let’s face it, all of these pets are winners because they show the world what it is to be handi-capable. This year, in addition to many canine entries, there was a Flemish Giant Rabbit, several goats, cats, and even a whitetail deer!
The calendar will be ready for an expected delivery by mid-November. Pre-orders taken in October, so check this calendar page then for pre-order information.
