How to Choose the Right Size
To determine the best size Hip-EEZ® for your pet, please measure your dog in a natural standing position and measure from 1” above the right stifle (knee) to the middle of the back. If in-between sizes, please select the size based on your dog’s weight range.

Once you’ve measured, reference our chart below. Find the measurement and weight range that best matches your pet. If you’re in between sizes, it’s better to select the weight range closest to your pet. Remember, your pet’s measurement may not be an exact match to the chart.

Is This Right for Your Pet?
The Walkin’ Hip-EEZ® Helps Pets of All Ages:
The Hip-EEZ® helps young puppies in the earliest stages of hip dysplasia up through older dogs dealing with arthritis, hip pain, and inflammation. This dog hip support harness is designed to decrease hip pain and promote mobility while helping to keep your pet comfortable and active.
The Hip-EEZ® will not help pets that cannot stand on their own and cannot bear any weight on their hind legs. These dogs may need the additional support of a dog wheelchair. Please speak with your veterinarian to determine the best treatment plan for your pet.
What to Expect:
It’s important to remember the initial fitting of the Walkin’ Hip-EEZ will take some time. Some pets will take right away to this kind of dog hip support harness and others may take more time to adjust. A slow acclimation to wearing the Hip-EEZ is important. It may take some pets 2-4 weeks to completely be adjusted to walk and run when wearing the Hip-EEZ. That’s completely normal for a full hip mobility device. Wearing the hip brace will help relieve your pet’s hip pain right away, but it may take a few weeks wearing the Hip-EEZ before you see noticeable physical or gait changes. We recommend using positive reinforcement (including treats and praise) to encourage your dog to walk and move while wearing our dog hip support harness. Product Instructions
- Make sure your Hip-EEZ® Full Support System is adjusted to best fit your pet.
- Gently undo touch fastener at top of leg panel on the side you’re planning on using the Hip Bridge. With the Velcro facing out, line up the Hip Bridge directly over the top of the bony part of the hip. When placed correctly the bony part (Femoral head) should be resting in the open space of bridge. Hold the bridge in place with one hand while reattaching the Hip-EEZ® leg panel. Remove hand and gently press on outer leg panel around bridge to make sure its securely in place.
- Now your Hip Bridge should be in place over the joint if you need to reposition the bridge, take your time and set it correctly. We recommend checking it often if pet is active or gets up after laying on that side. The goal is to allow your pet to move around with the bridge staying in place to offer support and compression.

Professional Use
The Hip-EEZ® Bridge is specially designed to aid in the conservative treatment of mild to moderate Hip Sub-Luxation. This product was designed specifically for those pets who may be suffering from multiple deficits and/or not good surgical candidates. The idea of the Hip-EEZ® Bridge is it compresses down and in on the Femoral head when placed correctly and the leg panel is secured tightly. This compression along with a specific Rehabilitation program ideally will allow muscle strengthening and recovery while keeping the hip from sub-luxating. This concept will take months of strengthening exercises while wearing the Hip-EEZ® Bridge. Of course, this will not work for all cases and in the situation of a full Hip Luxation. It’s not a replacement to surgery for those pets who would benefit from a surgical procedure. The Hip-EEZ® Bridge is a possible solution for those pets we see who surgery is not a viable option.
I’ve successfully used the Hip-EEZ® Bridge in a few cases and wanted to share a product I handmade the first go-round to help a patient named Nuka. I’m hoping to continue to collect data and feedback from other professionals. Working together as a Veterinary community to create, provide and improve products that aid in healing our patients. I can only hope these products are able to help your patients as well. Please reach out to us and share your thoughts and help us continue to collect more case studies on using the Hip-EEZ® Bridge with the Hip-EEZ® systems. We want your help in making sure our products meet the needs and approval of our fellow pet lovers.
