AMHERST, NH (October 31, 2022) – For over 20 years, Walkin’ Pets has been at the forefront of the pet mobility movement. Designing innovative solutions that keep special needs and aging pets active. Walkin’ Pets is proud to announce its latest innovation, the Walkin’ Knee Brace.
The Walkin’ Knee Brace is designed to stabilize the stifle joint and reduce knee pain and joint inflammation, making it easier for the dog to keep moving. Each brace is handcrafted by the Walkin’ Pets Certified Prosthetist Orthotist from a mold of a dog’s back leg for the perfect fit. The CPO works closely with the pet’s veterinarian to craft a custom-made brace to treat their patient’s unique diagnosis.
How the Walkin’ Knee Brace works:
The stifle brace’s biomechanics help stabilize the knee joint after a pet suffers a CCL injury. The goal of the stifle brace is to limit anterior and posterior translation, which is the forward and backward motion of the femur and tibia. By limiting this motion, the brace prevents the dog from putting excessive pressure on its torn cruciate ligament. The knee brace also limits axial rotation, which can cause the tendon to stretch and possibly take longer to heal. While wearing the brace, the dog’s knee is kept in proper alignment and is supported as the pet recovers.
The Walkin’ Knee Brace is available in three colors: Blue, Pink, and Black
Retail Price: $795
