AMHERST, NH (May 28, 2021) – Pennsylvania native and Founder of Joey’s PAW, Tanya Diable wins the 15th Annual National Indie Excellence Award for Children’s Non-Fiction for her book ‘Bow Tie Boone’. The annual award is presented by the NIEA to celebrate excellence in independent publishing.
Inspired by her rescue dog Boone, ‘Bow Tie Boone’ follows special needs dog Boone’s incredible adoption story and the true story of Boone’s journey to become a therapy dog. Boone is a double amputee dog, who regained his mobility with the use of his Walkin’ Wheels dog wheelchair. Diable says, “I wrote Bow Tie Boone in hopes of showing people how amazing special needs dog can be. Boone is an amazing dog that has shown people how resilient and amazing special needs dogs can be with some time and love.”
Diable is a first-time children’s book author and plans to continue the Bow Tie Boone series. Tanya is also the founder of the non-profit Joey’s PAW that provides prosthetics and wheelchairs to rescue pets in need. All proceeds from ‘Bow Tie Boone’ go to support Joey’s PAW and to improve mobility for rescue pets in need.
Boone’s story is available for purchase on Amazon.
