AMHERST, NH (August 24, 2021) – The first-round voting period for the 2022 Miracles in Motion Calendar is officially open. Walkin’ Pets, a NH-based pet mobility company, is hosting their 7th annual calendar contest which honors special needs pets and helps raise pet mobility awareness. All calendar proceeds benefit the Handicapped Pets Foundation, which donates wheelchairs to pets in need.
To vote visit the photo gallery on the Walkin’ Pets Facebook page and cheer on your favorite handicapable pets. This year’s calendar contest features over 300 animals from all over the world and dogs aren’t the only animals included! This year’s contestants include a cow, chicken, goats, sheep, cats, and even a raccoon who all use a Walkin’ Wheels wheelchair. This year’s contest will feature three rounds of voting, with the top finalists from each round moving on in the competition as follows:
First Round Voting: will run from 8/23 through 9/5
Second Round Voting: Top 100 photos from Round 1, voting will run from 9/6 through 9/17
Third Round Voting: Top 50 photos from Round 2, voting will run from 9/20 through 10/1
The 12 entrants with the most “likes” will be notified at the beginning of October. An additional Calendar Contest Winner will be selected by Walkin’ Pets to be specially featured on the 2022 calendar cover. For the third year in a row Walkin’ Pets will also select an individual to be named Walkin’ Pets Hero of the Year and an organization to be named Rescue of the Year. These awards are presented to one individual and one animal rescue who dedicate their lives to the advocation and care of handicapable pets.
Walkin’ Pets believes that every pet is a miracle and will try to include every eligible pet submitted into this year’s calendar. Walkin’ Pets will also be celebrating these incredible pets all year by featuring photos of submitted pets and their amazing stories throughout 2022 online and on social media!
