Thelma Louise is one of several farm animals that Michele Marshall has assisted since she and her husband Alan founded Storybook Acres Disabled Animal Rescue back in 2001.  However, she is the first goat to successfully use a Walkin’ Wheels dog wheelchair with front wheel attachment.

Michele was so thrilled to help Thelma Louise enjoy walks in the pasture again that she was prepared to spend a significant amount of time helping the goat learn to use a mobility device.  Thelma Louise, however, proved to be a very quick study and immediately began rolling towards her favorite pear tree.

Author Sandy Johnson was so impressed with the efforts of Storybook Disabled Animal Rescue that she wanted to include the story of Thelma Louise in her collection of stories featured in the book “Miracle Dogs – Adventures on Wheels.”  When you purchase a copy of the book here from Thelma’s page, 10% of the proceeds will be contributed to Storybook Acres Disabled Animal Rescue.
