Walkin’ Pets is Open and We’re Here for You
On behalf of all of us here at Walkin’ Pets, I want to thank you for your continued trust in us to care for your pet’s needs.
I also want to personally let you know that the safety and care for our employees and customers is a high priority for us.
The Walkin’ Pets leadership team is diligently monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, paying close attention to and implementing changes based on guidance from our country’s Administration and leading organizations, such as Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
As a result, we have taken several actions:
- We are taking steps to practice social distancing
- Many of our employees have been asked to work from home
- We are implementing deep cleaning within our organization
- All in-house fittings have been cancelled until further notice
I want to assure you that even with these precautionary measures in place, Walkin’ Pets is open and operating our business as normal at this time. Should conditions warrant any modifications to our operations, we will keep you informed. As needed, we will continue to provide updates on our website and social media.
Thank you for your continued support and for your understanding.
All my best,
Mark C. Robinson
President
Is there some type of support system to keep the larger dogs stomach from drooping when they are using the 4 wheelchair and which tires would be the best for grass.
Hi Erica,
For dog’s who need back support or additional support under the abdomen while in their wheelchair, I recommend the Walkin’ Belly Support. This neoprene support attaches around the wheelchair frame to support the center of the dog’s body. Please call us at 888-253-0777 we would be happy to answer any other questions you may have.
Can they go up and down a step or two in the 4 wheelchair?
Hi Erica,
Every dog is different, but most pets once they’ve had time to get used to their wheelchair and can move confidently are able to to go down a step or two. We recommend only allowing them to do this when you’re able to keep an eye one them and offer them guidance if needed.
Can the 4 wheelchair go through most doorways?
Hi Erica,
The wheelchairs are all different sizes and the width adjusts to fit your dog. For most dogs the wheelchairs will fit through a standard doorway, the best way to calculate how wide your dog’s wheelchair will be is to measure the widest part of your dog and add 6″ to either side.
