Will a Dog Wheelchair Work for your Dog?

In order to use a rear wheel doh wheelchair, you dog will need to have some strength in his front legs. By using a towel to lift the rear legs off the ground, you can see if the dog will be able to use a rear wheel dog wheelchair.

If your dog cannot pass this test, he will need a custom-made "Quad" or Four Wheel dog wheelchair.

Denali came to HandicappedPets.com after several weeks of not being able to use her back legs. After five minutes in the cart, she started running again! Denali is seen here in her new Walkin' Wheels (TM) cart for the first time. Lucy, a cute black dog with a bright blue tongue, was born in Puerto Rico. Hit by a car and left by the side of the road to die, she was rescued by the Second Chance Animal Rescue and, after almost giving up hope, by a woman in Peterborough, NH. In October 2008 she was named "HandicappedPets.com Official Mascot" and given a new Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair.

How to use the belly belt for a dog wheelchair.

The belly belt now comes with one side attached with Velcro. This makes it easier to get the dog in and out of the wheelchair. This video shows how.

How to adjust the length of a Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair.
