Wonder Dog Faith Brings Hope to All in Her Walkin' Wheels on Animal Planet

Thank you to everyone who tuned into the Saturday, January 30, 2010 episode "You Gotta Have Faith" on Animal Planet's Underdog to Wonderdog.  We feel privileged to have been a part of Faith's transformation from Underdog to Wonderdog, and we commend Animal Planet, the Wonderteam and the Animal Center of Queens for not giving up hope on little Faith!

The Walkin' Wheels for Handicapped Pets is the ideal cart for canine rehabilitative use because it is completely adjustable for a perfect fit, and it can accommodate a range of mobility from partial use of rear legs to complete paralysis.

In honor of Faith's transformation, HandicappedPets.com is offering free shipping on all Walkin' Wheels orders placed between February 4, 2010 - February 28, 2010.  Applies to ground shipments in the continental United States only.

Pet Stretcher - a Safer Way to Transport Injured or Handicapped Pets

Many of the dogs that use the Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair have been injured in automobile accidents and needed assistance being carried away from the side of the road.  We have heard stories of those who were thankful that they had an old blanket or towel in their car while other people have resorted to using their own jackets or shirts as a makeshift stretcher.

None of these items were ideal solutions and all of them contained some level of risk that the construction was not sturdy enough to prevent the animal from falling and suffering further injury.

As providers of products and support for handicapped pets, we needed to offer a safer way to transport an animal that is injured or ill and in need of veterinary assistance.

The result is our new Pet Stretcher which is available for only $59.95!

Contructed of sturdy, lightweight packcloth with comfortable neoprene grips and a safety strap to securely position the animal in place, the pet stretcher is the ideal product for pet owners, veterinarians and rescue groups.  Available in black or red.

The Latest in Canine and Feline Splints are Available at HandicappedPets.com

Splints provide much needed support for weakness due to injury or illness in the lower limbs of dogs and cats.  A variety of both front and rear limb splints are available at HandicappedPets.com.

One of our newest products in this category is the Bootie Splint which offers support for the lower aspect of the rear leg.

This brace extends under the paw to stabilize the toes and provides proper positioning to counteract the "knuckling under" associated with injury, nerve damage and progressive diseases such as degenerative myelopathy ("DM").
