Walkin' Wheels Inventor Presents at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine

Amherst, New Hampshire (March 22, 2010) - Mark C. Robinson, President of HandicappedPets.com and inventor of the Walkin’ Wheels for Handicapped Pets, recently visited with faculty, staff and students at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Mark C. Robinson presents a Walkin' Wheels professional reseller kit to Valerie McCollum, orthopedic veterinary technician, at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Mr. Robinson was honored to present and discuss the revolutionary features of the Walkin’ Wheels design -  the pet industry’s first dog wheelchair that can be easily adjusted in length, width and height to accommodate different size dogs as well as a range of canine mobility from temporary, partial or complete paralysis of the rear legs.

The visit began with a presentation to the school’s canine rehabilitation class where students learned about the design and functionality of the Walkin’ Wheels and were asked for their input regarding overall design and use as a canine rehabilitative tool.  Following visits with faculty and staff members of the orthopedic and neurology wards, Mr. Robinson gave a luncheon presentation to approximately 40 attendees who all had an interest in learning about canine mobility products.  The visit concluded with Mark Robinson donating a Walkin’ Wheels for Handicapped Pets professional reseller kit to the College of Veterinary Medicine.  Valerie McCollum, orthopedic veterinary technician, accepted the Walkin’ Wheels on behalf of the veterinary college.

"On behalf of HandicappedPets.com, I would like to thank Dr. Janet Steiss, Professor of Anatomy at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, and all of the faculty, staff and students for their hospitality, feedback and interest in learning how the Walkin’ Wheels can be used as a tool for canine rehabilitation while also offering a mobility solution for dogs that are permanently disabled," Robinson commented on his recent visit.

Veterinary schools, canine rehabilitation facilities and others who are interested in scheduling a similar presentation or in learning more about the Walkin’ Wheels for Handicapped Pets are encouraged to contact Lisa-Marie Mulkern, Marketing and Communications at (603) 577-8854, ext. 113.
