Pig in a harness

Zoey wearing her new red suit. This is her story:

handicapped pig in a harnessMy daughter and I went to Maui, Hawaii for Thanksgiving of 2005. We had some time to kill before our flight back home and stopped for a bite to eat. On the table of the restaurant was a flyer that read "exotic birds and mini-pigs." Of course my daughter wanted to see the mini pigs and it was on the way to the airport. We stopped at the store called Dan's Greenhouse. They had two miniature vietnamese blue-eyes potbelly piglets left. One was tiny and one was already 30 lbs & hadn't found a home...this was Zoey. She was already litter box trained, sat for treats, and walked on a harness. She truly loved people. My daughter and I left the store and got on our flight to home. I had taken a picture of Zoey with my cell phone and sent it to my husband asking, "can I have a pig?" Him thinking I was joking said, "sure take 2." My heart was breaking thinking Zoey wouldn't find a home because she wasn't a little piggy anymore, and I couldn't bear to think of her fate. We had a short layover on our way home, I called Dans Greenhouse and told them, "I have to have Zoey." They were overjoyed. I paid for her over the phone with my credit card and two days later my husband and I were picking her up from Delta Cargo. She arrived in their warehouse in a carrier with a Hawaiian Lei around her belly...snorting happily after her 13 hour trip. I carried her in the house and she's been living with us indoors, very spoiled ever since. We even had a family party for her 1st birthday. Now every time Zoey hears anybody singing, "Happy Birthday"...she looks for her piece of cake. Zoey is now 130 lbs. My family had just moved into a townhouse with many stairs. Zoey sleeps in our bedroom on the upper level and can't (or won't climb stairs), besides being afraid to walk on the hardwood floors on the main level because her hooves slide. I didn't know how we were going to get her down the stairs to take her to the vet every 8 weeks for her hoof trimming. I asked my vet for any suggestions and she referred me to HandicappedPets.com to search out a harness. I was so relieved...I couldn't bear the thought of having to give up my baby who has become very much a part of our family. So I took Zoey's measurements, ordered her red suit from you, and here we are in our new home 4 months later, and the harness as you can see below works beautifully. My husband and I each grab a handle and down the stairs Zoey goes.
Thank you so much for your help and this beautiful, perfectly fitting harness. We are truly grateful!
