Hope Meets Faith in Velma, Oklahoma

Kathy Barton and Fourth GradersEvery year since 2005, Kathy Barton has conducted her signature “How do you teach compassion?” humane education program for her fourth grade class at the Velma-Alma School in Velma, Oklahoma.

The program has become a favorite part of the curriculum and something that the children anticipate the most about being fourth graders at Velma-Alma school.

Recently, HandicappedPets.com arranged for students at the Velma-Alma School to meet Faith the dog - the two-legged wonder that walks upright on her hind legs like a human being.

New Walkin' Wheels Instructional Video and User Manual

Updated Instructional VideoIf you are contemplating the purchase of a Walkin' Wheels for Handicapped Pets dog wheelchair or if your pet is already using Walkin' Wheels, we invite you to view our newly updated instructional video to learn more and/or to determine if your dog is situated properly for optimal comfort and use.

Walkin' Wheels inventor Mark C. Robinson along with HandicappedPets.com team members Nancy and Jan along with their dogs Buster and Jake demonstrate how quickly and easily pet owners can fit and acclimate their dogs to using the wheelchair.

Walkin Wheels Do and Don'tWe also invite you to view our updated user manual that is also available for online viewing.  The updated manual includes helpful Walkin' Wheels "Do" and "Don't" photos that demonstrate the proper positioning of the front and rear harnesses.

All About Boots

Whether your pooch needs protecting from the elements and difficult terrain or is recovering from an injury, HandicappedPets.com offers a wide array of protective boots.

"Jack-in-Boots" pictured at right is sporting our high performance model that features a durable neoprene shell and rubber soles for added traction on slippery surfaces.

Travel Comfortably and Safely with Canine Companions

Pet Travel HammockThe Pet Travel Hammock ensures that your pooch will ride in comfort while you can enjoy the peace of mind knowing that your upholstery or leather is protected from muddy paws, drooling or other mishaps.

The hammock attaches securely to the headrests, offers snap shut pockets for storing toys and snacks, and provides access for the use of safety belts.  A zippered mid-section allows for a person to share the backseat with your pooch.

Handicapped Pets Foundation Helps Veteran

Eva in Walkin WheelsEva is a faithful companion to her owner - a veteran who recently served two tours in Iraq.  Facing financial difficulties and still awaiting compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Eva's owner turned to the Handicapped Pets Foundation for assistance.

The Handicapped Pets Foundation was honored to provide assistance by granting Eva's owner a Walkin' Wheels for Handicapped Pets.  Now, she is getting the exercise she needs to maintain strength in her rear legs.  Watch Eva take off in her Walkin' Wheels.
