The After and Before Story of a Dog Named Noel

Sometimes, it is only after we witness a happy ending that we are able to endure the photos and details of what happened before the moment of celebration.  In closing 2009, a wonderful year in which we celebrated the triumph of newfound mobility with so many of our customers who purchased Walkin' Wheels for their pets, we wanted to share with you the special "after and before" story of a dog named Noel.

Noel's rescue was coordinated through the efforts of dedicated volunteers from the Animal Rescue Foundation located in Mobile.  Her after story video that was featured on the local news in Mobile, Alabama on Christmas Eve can be viewed here.  It was an early holiday present for Noel when she received her Walkin' Wheels thanks to an anonymous donor who purchased the wheelchair from HandicappedPets.com. 

However, it was the before photos and description of Noel that shocked a donor into action on her behalf.  They depicted a dog that had spent years dragging her lower body around because nobody sought veterinary care for Noel after she had been hit by a car when she was very young.  Her lower body was completely mangled and covered with sores.  Having endured so much suffering for so long, it was decided that Noel deserved the chance to get herself off the ground and start walking again.

Noel is moving safe and happily now thanks to a community of caretakers and her Walkin' Wheels!  We look forward to following her progress in 2010!
