Blind Dog: We've gotten permission to reprint this excellent article by Dennis Hacker, DVM on how to build a hoop harness for a blind dog. This is as useful as a walking cane to a blind man. It prevents head injuries and helps them be independent. See more at: http://www.blindpets.com/harness/index.htm |

Protecting Wounds: We need to keep them from licking their wounds, biting their bandages, and aggravating their injuries. The cone has been a traditional answer -- but not an ideal one. This collar protects the animal painlessly and has a special strap to keep it from going over his head. See the No-Bite Collar |

Protective Boots: By request we've found a special boot for leg wound protection. This waterproof boot is ideal for keeping a wound clean and dry. Far superior to the "Duct Take and Baggie" solution. See More |
Cart Rentals: Thanks to all who have participated in the cart rental program. We purchased some carts, and had some donated, and made them available to people who need them for a short time or can't afford to buy them. We're looking for more carts. Please let know if you have any available. Cart Rental Page
Orthopedic knee, hock, and wrist braces: I know that several people are waiting for our braces. Were 'almost there.' We're completing our final research on the product and will be putting up the site, we expect, within a few weeks. We just need to make sure they're right.
You Just Made a Donation! Every month, when we send out a newsletter, we make a donation to a pet-related charity based on the number of subscribers we send to. The more subscribers we get, the more we donate. If you send this along to your friends and they sign up, then the donation increases. It's our way of paying "Postage." Animal Rescue of New Orleans is this month's recipient. Join the List
Fall pet shows are here! If you're going to have a booth at one, hang our banner and we'll chip in!
Warmest regards to all our fellow caretakers!
