I love the Spring and Summer Pet Expos! Hanging out on a sunny day with thousands of dogs and cats is exactly how the "Dog Days" of summer were meant to be spent. If you're looking for dog boots to protect paws from hot pavement, we've got the best available. If you're going to exhibit at a show, let us know. We'll help with the expenses if you'll hang our banner.

Dekan is a 4 month old Pit Bull Terrier.

Why dogs need Seat Belts.
Go for a ride in the car? The reasons for using a dog seat belt are not all obvious.

1. Distraction
Pets can be a distraction. Distractions cause accidents. Remember Stephen King? He was hit by a car as the driver was trying to keep his rottweiler under control. Rumor had it the dog's name was Cujo. Not true.
2. Impact
Pets without seatbelts are just like people without seatbelts: if you slam on the brakes or hit another car, you and everything else that's not restrained goes flying toward the windshield. A large dog hurtling at you or another passenger from the backseat can be deadly for you and the dog.
3. Emergencies
A dog that has been in an accident is likely to be in shock, confused, and possibly in pain. The dog could attack rescue personnel who are trying to help you. You can minimize this danger by properly restraining your dog.
4. Spotting the dog
Quality seat belts are easy to spot. These have bright yellow straps for find-him-quick situations. Also, look for belts than can also be used as harnesses.
5. Control
Even well-trained dogs have been known to jump after a particularly juicy chipmunk, cat, or another dog. If your dog is in a seat belt, he can't jump out the window or run into the street when you open your door.
6. Comfort
Isn't it simply more pleasant to ride in a car when everyone, human, canine, and other, stays in their seat? PLEASE! We're almost there!

Thanks for joining us! If there's anything we can do to improve our newsletter, the site, or our service, please speak up (we need all the help we can get!). If you like us, pass us around!

Unsubscribe & Privacy Information: Our double opt-in newsletter registration system is a pain in the butt. I get dozens of emails from people saying they had trouble joining. The result, though, is that only people who want to be on the list are on the list. If you would like to be removed click here. Problems? Reply to this email. I read all replies. We NEVER make our mailing list available to anyone and it's guarded 24 hours a day by a very mean-looking dog (unfortunately, if he catches you he'll lick you to death, but shhhhhh... hackers don't know that).
