Delaney is a wonderful 12-year old Cavalier who came into my life in 1996 at the age of, almost 3 years.  I saw him in a fenced in area where the humane society had allowed their dog population to get some fresh air and exercise.  He was chained to a small dog house.  It looked like the chain had been wrapped around his left front leg and  had pulled it up to his chest.  I soon discovered that his left leg was contracted to his chest.  He had been born with his whole left side sort of 'compressed' as a result of being the 'bottom pup' in a litter of 8.  I was smitten, love at first sight, for sure. Ten years later, and I'm still amazed at the vibrancy with which this little guy greets every new day. Sincerely,
