Kathy Barton’s 4th grade class raised lots of funds this year . . . for 6 pet wheelchairs and donations to 2 special organizations that help animals in need! Wow!

Five dogs and one cat were the lucky recipients, as well as “Bendy Kitties” and “Lethal White Aussies.” Bendy Kitties rescues cats in need, and Lethal White Aussies helps the beautiful deaf and blind Aussies that first inspired Kathy Barton to rescue her own lethal white – Hope.

Buddy, the boxer, Cruiser, the German shepherd, Tanner, the boxer, Comet, the golden retriever, Malachi, the cat, and Johanna, the dachshund were the wheelchair recipients.
This was Johanna’s second time as a wheelchair recipient – she wore out the wheelchair that Kathy’s class first gave to her back in 2005!

Thank you, again, to Dr Finocchio and Marvin, who helped contribute to this year’s fundraising drive, and to Doggone Wheels, which also generously contributed.
