Walkin' Wheels - the ONLY Fully Adjustable Dog Wheelchair
Our veterinarian-approved Walkin' Wheels design is unique. It's the only dog wheelchair of its kind. Made of extruded aluminum, this versatile easy-to-use dog wheelchair is convenient, ships same day, comes fully assembled, and adjusts with the snap of a button for a perfect fit -- every time.
A dog wheelchair can enable your dog to run and play again, get the exercise he (or she) needs, and live a happy, healthy life. Walkin' Wheels is designed to help animals with hip and leg problems including degenerative myelopathy (DM), hip dysplasia, arthritis, paralysis, slipped disc, soreness, spinal and neurological problems, surgical recovery, and more.
Why We Invented the Adjustable Dog Wheelchair
Dog wheelchairs have been around for 20 years. At first they were built for specific dogs by their owners or friends. Eventually they became more widespread and could be ordered by taking dozens of measurements and sending them to the builder who would create a set of wheels for the dog in a few weeks to over a month.
This is the way many industries begin, but the 'custom made' aspects of new products don't last long. Soon the dog wheelchair industry became large enough to support some invention and innovation and the adjustable dog wheelchair was introduced.
The main advantage of a custom made wheelchair is that, if made correctly, it will fit your dog precisely. This is good, but, as dog owners soon found out, there were a number of serious problems, some of which could impact the health of the dog. A dozen or more measurements were required in order to build a dog wheelchair that fit. If the measurements were not correct, the wheelchair would be useless, or would require a return to the manufacturer. If the dog's health changed for the better or the worse, the cart could not be adjusted to accommodate this. This was a terrible problem for growing dogs.
Often the carts were quite cumbersome. In order to get them in a suitcase or the trunk of a car they would need complex disassembly. They took as long as two weeks to build when often they were needed immediately. Because there was so much labor involved, the cart could not easily be returned if the dog was unable to use it for any reason. When the dog no longer needed it, it could not be adapted for another dog. Walkin' Wheels, the leader in dog wheelchairs, solves ALL of these problems in a sporty, convenient, great value piece of equipment.
Features
Fits perfectly now, and also as your dog's health changes.
We want our Walkin' Wheels to be super comfortable for every dog, which is why we've created a wide range of wheelchairs. Depending on your dog's specific measurements, wheelchair prices range from $249 (for small dogs like pugs and Chihuahuas) to $459 (for larger dogs like German shepherds, great danes, and mastiffs). Use The Dog Cart Wizard to calculate the price based on your dog's specific measurement. Click here to see our measurement/price table.
Quality Versus Price Dilemma
In 2005 when we started working with engineers to create Walkin' Wheels we had a choice-- we could either engineer the lowest priced product and hope customer's didn't care too much about quality or create the world's best pet wheelchair. We chose the latter and the thousands of letters we've received and posts on our message board at HandicappedPets.net in the last 10 years are proof customers wanted us to focus on quality.

See Buddy off-roading in his Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair! Nothing can stop this dog from hunting!
HandicappedPets.com has helped local online star Chris P. Bacon walk again with the help of one of their fully adjustable Walkin' Wheels Dog Wheelchair. This little piggy can now walk again, helping him live a happy and healthy life once again.
The new tube-style back leg rings are working very well. Hope is more comfortable in it.
The new tube-style back leg rings are working very well. Hope is more comfortable in it. Hope has began to use her right foot to walk in her cart, I think the the rear strut is now too short and she needs the taller strut. When she was completely paralyzed in the rear it appeared too tall for her but now that she can stand with the right rear leg she stands above the harness.
Thanks,
Rachel
Max is Back at the Park with his Dog Wheelchair
I would love to tell you how good the wheelchair is for Max. He loves the freedom that he can have with the dog wheelchair. I think this is the best gift that everyone should give to their beloved handicapped pet. We took Max back to the parks, and everywhere we went it created a scene. People are interested in what happened to Max. They also ask where we got the Walkin’ Wheels dog wheelchair.
I walk Max twice a day and almost never miss. Anyway, thanks for your good product and your patience in helping me.

Jule is Back in Nature with Dog Wheelchair
It took such a long time for me to send you a message, but it's only because we enjoy nature together with Jule who runs like crazy with her new wheels. My big love Jule - she is such an amazing dog. Sometimes, I don't feel that she is a dog but is the same as me - a human. She always has been very energetic, so when she got paralyzed she was very depressed. Now when she can run again, I see the same happy dog who can run after cats and play with other dogs!
Thank you

Cooper Loves his Mini Walkin' Wheels
Hello HandicappedPets.com,
Cooper loves his new wheels and gets so excited when he sees me get his harness out. It took him very little time to adjust and become good at using them. It feels so good to see him fetch, run, sniff, and be able to keep up with his girlfriend, Sophie, my toy fox terrier.
Thank you,
Carol Warren

Lilly and her New Pink Dog Wheelchair
Finally got some corrected pictures of Lilly in her new chair. Now she thinks she is on the N.H. speedway. Now in the house, where ever she is at and sees the chair, she wants to just go. Outside 1 week ago for her 1st time in the chair, 1st time outside being able to run around, she let everyone know she was back, we could see how far we were off on the set up. Not anymore. She loves it and ready to go all the time. Limited for now on how long she stays in the chair.

German Shepherd Walks with the Walkin' Wheels Dog Wheelchair
I just ordered my 13 yr old German Shep mix a dog wheelchair from HandicappedPets.com. My dog has German Shep degenerative myelopathy so she is in no pain, she just has a progressive lack of sensation that started out of the blue a little less than a year ago. I got the wheelchair today and set it up, and I strapped her in and before I could move to get up, she was off and rolling. She went for a walk for about 15 minutes because I couldn't get her to stop going. I am so happy for her.
Thank you,
Danielle Cooper
